River Stripe
A linen table runner with indigo and oat stripes at a firm sett.

Weave studio
Linen and wool warps, plant dyes, and a patient loom—each cloth leaves with sett notes and a wash card, not a factory label.
Recent work from the bench — each piece is titled so you can reference it when you book.
A linen table runner with indigo and oat stripes at a firm sett.
A wool scarf in soft moss twill with hand-twisted fringe.
A cotton-linen check cloth for everyday table use.
Numbered studio verbs from first measure to handoff.
We choose sett and width against your use and wash habits.
Yarn is measured, beamed, and threaded through the reed.
Plant baths tint yarn or finished cloth; lots are labeled.
The shuttle builds the cloth; tension is checked each session.
Fringe is twisted or hemmed; wash tests confirm shrinkage.
“The moss twill softened after two washes and kept the stripe edges clean.”

Steadycrest Weave is a Cork bench where warps are dressed in daylight and dye pots cool overnight before the next lot is labeled.
Tools stay on labeled shelves; unfinished pieces hang or cure where light is steady. Visits are by appointment so the bench stays clear for active work.
Typically 16–22 days after yarn and dye notes are locked.
We aim close with plant baths; exact Pantone matches are not promised.
Short viewing slots are fine; long stays are booked so the loom stays clear.
Appointments keep the workspace clear. Walk-ins are rare; send a request and we confirm a slot by email.
14 Washington Street, Cork T12 XF8A
Mon–Thu 10:00–13:00 and 14:30–18:00; Fri by appointment
Same-week openings are confirmed by email after you send the booking form.
Clients often arrive with a table measure and a question about wash habits. We answer with yarn cones on the bench first, then a clear day count for the warp.
The studio keeps sample swatches so you can feel linen sett before you commit. That single touch settles stripe debates faster than a flat photo.
We write down which dye lot you chose and which rushed finishes we refused so the cloth matches the honest plan.
Appointments are paced so warps stay tensioned between visits. If a slot is full, we offer the next open window rather than stacking rush weaving.
Care notes travel with every handoff: wash temperature, fringe handling, and when to return if a hem needs attention later.
Seasonal light shifts how indigo and oat stripes read on a table. Bring a daytime photo when you can; evening shots alone can push dye choices that feel different in use.
We do not promise awards or viral finishes. We promise measured setts, named steps, and a reply when your message lands in the booking form.
If you are gifting a cloth, tell us the handoff date early. Fold cards and wash labels are prepared after the last finish pass, not before shrinkage is confirmed.
